RESTAURANT / BAR MANAGER
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Manager for our front of house team, to work closely with our General Manager. We’re a local pub at heart, but also serve great quality food in our dining room. Our menu changes twice a day with the seasons and we use the very best of local produce. You need to be knowledgeable about good food and drink and have an excellent attention to detail. You will have at least two years of managerial experience in a restaurant.
You will need your Level 2 food hygiene, and ideally WSET Level 2 as well. Living locally or having your own transport is essential, as finish times can be late.
Salary to be discussed on application, and you will also receive a share of tips.
JUNIOR SOUS CHEF
We’re looking for a hardworking and reliable Junior Sous Chef to join the small kitchen team at our busy dining pub. We prepare everything from scratch in our kitchen, from sourdough and cultured butter to fresh pasta.
You will be an enthusiastic and determined chef, able to work alongside our Head Chef Dave and our Sous Chef. You will have at least 2 years experience in a busy kitchen. Responsibilities will include:
– ability to work on and manage a specific kitchen section
– assisting with daily menu creation / dish ideas
– you will assist junior members of the team main the highest standards of hygiene, health and safety, as well as service.
This is a great opportunity for a chef looking for a new challenge. We’ve got exciting things happening within the pub this year, and there’ll be a lot for you to get involved in. There is always the opportunity within our businesses to move up through the team and possibly into your own venue. We nurture our chefs, training you in every aspect of the kitchen, from breadmaking, to butchery and pasta making.
Pay is negotiable depending on experience, and you will also receive a share of generous tips.
